Sunday, October 23rd
9:30am – 6:30pm
Engineering Common Room
Scarcity of resources is among the most pressing global issues faced by our generation. Engineers – especially those creating the technologies of the future – are bound to play a large role in designing the world of tomorrow. Therefore, it is important that we start to think about the effects we have on our environment and changes we can make in our designs and systems to minimize their long-term negative impacts. Thus, we challenge you to make a change in your design team’s product or processes in order to improve its long-term effects on the planet. We are calling for a sustainable solution which is implementable, measurable and specific to an issue which you identify.
Ideas will be judged on CREATIVITY, RESEARCH, and IMPLEMENTABILITY.
FREE FOOD will be provided and PRIZE MONEY will be awarded!
