About
SEAM is dedicated to empowering engineering students to be more sustainable in their engineering work and their communities. Our main focus areas are:
- Hosting professional, social, and academic events with a sustainability focus.
- Spearheading on-campus sustainability projects.
- Consulting with EUS groups to reduce their environmental footprint.
- Providing resources & information to everyone at McGill.
- SEAM is always looking for new ideas and passionate individuals.

We achieve this through four main initiatives: organizing events, undertaking projects, offering consulting services, and compiling/providing resources.
Events
Events like our annual speed networking event aim to showcase numerous opportunities in sustainability to McGill’s future engineers. These events introduce participants to the mindset and practices of designing in a more sustainable manner.
Projects
Beyond our flagship events, SEAM initiates projects with direct impact. Notable examples include the vibrant green plants in McConnell hallway and reusable Blue’s Pub cups.
Consulting
SEAM has recently collaborated with various organizations and teams to enhance the sustainability of their operations.
Resources
We actively collect sustainability information, resources, and opportunities and share them with McGill’s engineering student community.
